Mimecast provides an email continuity service that will automatically and transparently re-route users directly to the Internet based service if the local Exchange service (or similar) fails or becomes unavailable.  It provides a web-based service if required when away from the office or from other locations.

All emails are, effectively, archived and searchable through a Microsoft Outlook interface, meaning that there is no need for local Outlook files to grow uncontrollably.  This not only reduces the storage requirements but safeguards the audit trail for all internal and external emails.

User-specific stationery through the user of advanced templates provides a level of branding and marketing not available with other systems.
