All businesses need to manage their anti-malware, anti-virus, groups and policies to ensure that updates and issues are dealt with in the most effective and efficient way. This is normally done using an in-house server - or multiple servers for multiple sites - with each server responsible for ensuring that end-point PCs and other server systems are updated with the latest AV signatures and any policy changes. The server(s) also provides the management interface for monitoring and reporting malware issues across the organisation.
Quite often laptop users have to wait until they plug into their corporate network or connect via VPN before they get their updates. With ResolutionsMSP, all of this is handled by a cloud based service, signature and policy updates managed centrally and always available via the Internet.
To stop every machine in a network from pulling its update directly from the web service, the end-point agent is able to communicate with other end-point agents in the same subnet and obtain the updates locally. This combines the best of both worlds: no server hardware or management software required but intelligent updating within the internal network.
